Mauve, the distinguished carrot pants

Description

Mauve is a carrot-style pant with a side stripe that allows you to combine various fabrics to create very different looks. It’s the long and dressy version of the Lila model.
Practical with its two pockets, it can be made in corduroy for winter or in lightweight cotton for summer. Its cut is comfortable, simple, and adapts to many outfits. Once you’ve made one, you’ll want to make a dozen more!

Difficulty

This project is aimed at seamstresses who already have a few patterns under their belt. You may encounter specific terminology and will need to sew pockets and a fly.

Fabrics and trimmings

For this pattern, I recommend using a fabric that is thick enough to not be see-through. As mentioned in the description, Mauve can be worn in summer or winter. The difference lies in the fabric you choose: cotton or linen canvas for summer, corduroy, denim, or wool for winter. I suggest avoiding fluid fabrics with heavy much fall, as they could give the shape a somewhat loose appearance.

If you do as in the exemple you will need:

• Main fabric width of 140cm : 110cm from XXS to L, 120cm for XL and XXL, 140cm for XXXL.
• Second fabric width of 140cm : 85cm from XXS to M, 95cm for L and XL, 100cm beyond.
• Zipper of 12cm for XXS and XS, 15cm for S and M, 17cm for L and XL, 20cm for XXL and XXXL.
• 1 button.
• 25cm of interfacing.
